There are 32 species in the genus Octoblepharum.

This particular species may be O. albidum, but I don’t have a positive ID.

This attractive and unique moss is excellent for terraria.

It prefers good drainage and does best when moist, but not wet. Therefore, it does very well as an epiphyte on moist branches, rocks, and terrarium backgrounds.

When happy, it can spread and make beautiful, dense carpets.

In bright light, it becomes pale and glaucous. In dim light it becomes slightly darker, but in general is always quite light in color.
